eTranscript California Workshop was a great success. Held on campus at College of San Mateo on April 3, 2012, workshop presentations are available in the File Repository. - Click Here

eTranscript California is a statewide electronic transcript exchange supporting electronic transcript request and delivery across all of California's postsecondary systems. It's unique request and delivery foundation makes it a very successful automation tool for delivering transcript data to the student's next college. Electronic data delivery as opposed to PDF or paper can make the difference for student's rapid evaluation for admission consideration.

eTranscript California Benefits:

  • Speed
  • Tracking
  • Security
  • Increased Productivity
  • Student Convenience
  • Lower Costs
  • Standardized Formats
  • Environmentally friendly
CCC Mini-Grants - CA Assembly Bill 1056, requires CA Community Colleges to convert from a paper-based transcript process to electronic transcripts. The legislature provided one time funding of $500,000 to effect this transition. The California Community Colleges Chancellors office has created this new mini grant program to disburse these funds to the colleges. Application deadline 12/31/2012. Click here for more info and to apply

For CCC to qualify for the mini-grant the college must deliver electronic transcripts that the recipient can receive / download in PESC standard formats EDI or XML formats. Additional data elements are required for the CA Electronic Transcript Standard. Vendors that currently adhere to the eTranscript California Data Dictionary for building ASCII files for their CCC client to upload to eTranscriptCA likely already adhere to the standard for sending data, data related to:

  • CSU GE
  • CSU IGETC
  • UC IGETC
  • State Articulation ID
  • CSU Articulation ID
  • District-wide Transcripts (transcript includes all colleges within district)
  • Associate Degree for Transfer to CSU (SB-1440)

Additional data for CA Transcript Standard was recently introduced with the implementation of transcript requirements to support Senate Bill 1440 (CCC student transfers to CSU). Details to support this data are available in the eTranscriptCA Data Dictionary or the SB1440 website folder at http://etranscriptca.org/file-repository/SB1440-eTranscriptCA-Support/.
